Student Assembly

WHEREAS, the 1996–1997 Student Assembly approved the contract with Student Advantage Cards, and

WHEREAS, the contract with Student Advantage requires that the Student Advantage Cards be sold at $20, and

WHEREAS, five dollars of the cost will be credited to the Student Assembly, and

WHEREAS, currently it is unclear precisely how much the Student Assembly will be credited, and

WHEREAS, the amount the Student Assembly is credited will directly affect what cause or investment we can effectively contribute to,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the Student Assembly will designate the money to a particular cause or investment only when the exact amount raised is finalized.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the SA surveys the students at the time of purchasing the cards as to how they would like to see their money spent. When a certain amount of money is allocated to a certain cause, the student body will be informed of said allocation.
