The committee has a total of 6 voting members and 1 non-voting members, all of whom serve two-year, staggered terms.
One voting position is open to undergraduates.

Except where otherwise indicated, faculty positions on assemblies committees are staffed by the Faculty Senate. Since the Faculty Senate is external to the Office of the Assemblies, please inquire directly through the following address if you are a member of Cornell faculty and are interested in serving on an assemblies committee:
Two positions are staffed by administrative appointment:
- one voting member appointed by the Director of the Environmental Compliance and Sustainability Office
- one voting member who is a member of the faculty affiliated with the Cornell Center for a Sustainable Future appointed by the Director of that unit
The University Assembly appoints one non-voting liaison to the committee from its membership.
