| Text Attachment | Dear President Pollack, Congratulations on your recent inauguration as the 14th President of the University. The University Assembly looks forward to working closely with you in the years to come and it wishes you much success during your tenure. In the spring, the AY 2016-2017 University Assembly passed Resolution #9, "Tobacco-Free Campus Referendum." We are excited by the opportunity to conduct a campus-wide referendum on an important topic facing our community this semester. I am conveying this to you now to ask for your approval of the resolution. You can find a copy of it here. It is our sincere hope that the results of the referendum will be honored by the administration and that the community's choice will be carried out.
