Elections
The Office of the Assemblies helps each assembly organize and run elections annually or semi-annually:
- The Student Assembly conducts elections twice a year, in the spring and fall.
- The Employee Assembly conducts annual elections in the spring.
- The Graduate and Professional Student Assembly conducts annual elections in the spring.
- Representatives on the University Assembly are elected or appointed by their respective constituent assemblies.
Additionally, there are two student-elected trustees (one undergraduate and one graduate or professional student), one employee-elected trustee, and two faculty-elected trustees.
One of the key points of entry into shared governance for students, staff and faculty is an election. Be a voice for your constituency and consider running for a seat—find information on upcoming and past elections below.
