Cornell University

Employees

Non-faculty employees at Cornell are encouraged and invited to run and vote in two main elections: Employee Assembly (EA) elections and Constituent-Elected Trustee elections.

  • Employee Assembly Elections

The Employee Assembly is the official voice of the university’s non-faculty staff. Members of the EA bring their experience, creativity and ideas directly to the president and senior administration, working to ensure staff member viewpoints are a shared priority in university decision-making and promoting a sense of belonging at Cornell.

Each spring, Cornell staff elect members to the Employee Assembly to represent the colleges and schools, divisions, units and identity-based campus communities for staggered, three-year terms. Additionally, there are opportunities for staff to be appointed to the all-constituent University Assembly each term.
