The Graduate and Professional Student Assembly cooperates with the university administration on improving graduate and professional students' quality of life. GPSA works to foster relationships among students, express views of its constituency, influence policies, and fund student organizations.
The GPSA is made up of representatives from each of Cornell's graduate and professional schools. Officers and voting representatives are elected in the spring. Each graduate field and professional school is responsible for electing or appointing its own field representative(s), who serve on the assembly as non-voting members.
The GPSA is responsible for marketing elections, defining a nomination collection strategy, and coordinating a timeline and tasks with the Office of the Assemblies.
