Undergraduate
For undergraduates, shared governance at Cornell spans two main elections: Student Assembly elections and Undergraduate Student-Elected Trustee elections.
Election Types
Student Assembly
The Student Assembly deals with quality of life issues relating to undergraduate students. SA has legislative authority over the policies of the Office of the Dean of Students and the Department of Campus Life, and establishes the undergraduate Student Activity Fee and guidelines for its distribution.
The Student Assembly (SA) holds regularly-scheduled elections twice a year. All current registered undergraduate students are eligible—and encouraged—to run for positions on the Student Assembly. Find elections information, eligibility requirements and important voting dates here.
