Student-elected trustees alternate between graduate and professional and undergraduate students annually. The graduate and professional student-elected trustee is chosen in the fall of even-numbered years for a two-year term.

The next Student-Elected Trustee (Graduate and professional) election will be held in September 2026. This page will be updated with candidate registration forms, election calendars, lists of election events, and voter information at the beginning of the Fall 2026 semester.

To be eligible, prospective candidates must:

  • Candidates must be enrolled full-time in one of the campus-based Graduate or Professional Schools.
  • Candidates must not be on disciplinary probation or suspension.
  • Candidates must be, and expect to remain, registered in good-standing in their current college or school (and in residence at the Ithaca, Geneva, or Cornell Tech campuses) through the end of the two-year term.
