UA R15 (2020-2021): Amending the University Assembly Bylaws’ Title of the Standing ‘Campus Infrastructure Committee’ (CIC) The resolution proposes an amendment to the body’s bylaws in order to more accurately reflect the expansive jurisdiction of the University Assembly’s Campus Infrastructure Committee (CIC) procedures and authority, specifically as it relates to environmental sustainability. UA R16 (2020-2021): Calling for a Veterans Support Center This resolution aims to increase on-campus support for veteran students, faculty, and staff through the creation of a support center for members of the Cornell University community who have served, plan on serving, or are affiliated with the Armed Forces of the United States of America. Rejected by the President
UA R17 (2020-2021): Calling on Cornell to End All Ties With Immigration and Customs Enforcement This resolution is calling on Cornell to absolve all ties with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), including but not limited to recruitment, education, training, research, and technological equipment and software. UA R18 (2020-2021): Encouraging the Board of Trustees to Revoke Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Ex-Officio Membership This resolution calls on the Cornell University Board of Trustees to revoke the Ex-Officio membership of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in light of recent allegations of sexual harassment and covering up the deaths of nursing home residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. UA R19 (2020-2021): Calling on Cornell to Establish Itself as a Sanctuary Campus This resolution is calling on Cornell to establish itself as a sanctuary campus for undocumented students, faculty, and staff. Rejected by the President
UA R20 (2020-2021): Advocating for a Tree-per-Graduate Program at Cornell University This resolution calls for Cornell University to begin a Tree-per-Graduate program requiring the University to plant one tree per degree issued. Committee Review
UA R21 (2020-2021): Resolution Demanding Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accountability This resolution calls for an independent audit of Cornell University’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and demands the University immediately adopt CLCPA-mandated greenhouse gas accounting in order to establish transparency and maintain prolonged accountability as it relates to University GHG emissions.
