This information is for the Spring 2022 Employee-Elected Trustee Special Election, filling out two years of an unexpired regular four-year term. The elected candidate will serve as a full-voting member of the Cornell University Board of Trustees from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024.
All regular full-time and part-time staff members in a non-exempt, exempt, or academic non-professorial staff category; and who are employed at the Ithaca, AgriTech in Geneva or Cornell Tech campuses of the university are eligible to run for a seat in this election.
This forum will be an opportunity for the staff community to hear from those responsible for developing and implementing our COVID-19 mitigation strategies as we begin the new semester. The invited panelists will review the results of student re-entry and respond to questions and concerns. The Employee Assembly holds regularly scheduled elections each spring; this special fall election will include twelve currently vacant seats who will represent staff by holding at-large, college and identity-based seats.
Members of the Public Safety Advisory Committee will be present to hear from students, faculty and staff and capture community perspectives on campus public safety on Cornell’s Ithaca campus, in response to the Public Safety Reform Report and Final Recommendations.
