    Dear President Rawlings,

I would like to formally convey EA Resolution 2: Advocating an Inclusive Rebranding, sponsored by BJ Siasoco. The resolution passed by a vote of 16-1-2.

The resolution is the result of a number of conversations that were brought to the Employee Assembly a few years ago. Last year, previous representatives hosted a conversation about the rebranding for staff at an EA meeting. This resolution advocates that the Building and Properties Committee of the Board of Trustees votes affirmatively to include the rebranding of the Cornell Plantations on the agenda for the upcoming October meeting; and that the Board approves the rebranding.

We want to acknowledge the hard work and leadership of Executive Director, Christopher Dunn. We would be remiss to not acknowledge the longstanding advocacy of so many of our staff, faculty, and students. This is an issue about which many staff, for at least the last decade, have been very vocal. It is because of their unrelenting efforts to keep this as a main item for discussion that this issue has made it to the Board.

I look forward to our continued work together! Take care,
    Ulysses
