  Dear President Rawlings,
  
  I would like to convey to you an amended, Resolution 4: In Support of the Maplewood Redevelopment Project.
  
  While I understand the nature of your objection to the previous version, the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly wasn't satisfied with your proposed amendment as it was written. Although 96% of students do receive some sort of summer support averaging just over $7000, it is seldom guaranteed and sometimes (as was my personal experience) is subject to change without notice. Therefore, the GPSA decided to include your suggested numbers noting that the quoted value is guaranteed for the academic year (as opposed to the calendar year), and that not all graduate students receive summer support.
  
  We hope that you find these changes acceptable for your endorsement. However, please note that in order to submit the resolution to the Town of Ithaca Planning Board prior to the close of their open comment period on October 31st (and since the section in question is immaterial to message of the resolution), we will be sending the revised copy to the planning board immediately noting that you have not yet had time to respond.
