Dear Nate,
Thank you for sending me GPSA Resolution 5: In Support of the Proposed Renaming of Cornell Plantations. The process of contemplating a new name for such a historic and beloved part of the Cornell campus has rightfully required engagement with staff, students, faculty and alumni, providing them important information and opportunity to express their perspectives regarding a potential name change. I appreciate the role that the GPSA has played in adding graduate and professional student voices to this conversation.
I will communicate your endorsement of the change of the name of the Cornell Plantations to the Cornell Botanic Gardens with the Board of Trustees when they deliberate on this recommendation in October.
Sincerely,
Hunter Rawlings
