Dear Acting President Kotlikoff, I would like to convey GPSA Resolution 8: Resolution Concerning 2014 Tax Issues for International Students. This resolution summarizes the tax crisis facing international students as far as it is understood by the graduate and professional student community. While we fully acknowledge that this is a nationwide issue, we still believe Cornell should do all it can to ensure a quick resolution to this issue. The resolution lists some possible steps for the administration to take, and we welcome any continuing dialogue on how the GPSA and the administration can work cooperatively to assist affected students. While we appreciate all the effort the administration has already put into helping to solve this issue, I must emphasize that to my knowledge students have received neither payments nor a timeline for when to expect payment from the IRS. Continued vigilance and advocacy on behalf of the affected students is still required until all those affected have been properly reimbursed. Respectfully, Richard Walroth
