Dear President Pollack,It is with great joy that I convey Resolution 8: A Resolution to Adopt the Graduate and Professional Community Initiative. This resolution formally adopts the 2020 iteration of the Graduate and Professional Community Initiative, a new five-year strategic plan that helps identify and address the needs of graduate and professional students at Cornell University. This resolution also represents the culmination of the herculean task of drafting this document. This could not be possible without the dedication, leadership, and perseverance of Alexa R. Cohn, our Executive Vice President and Chair of the GPCI Ad Hoc Committee. I would also like to thank all of the area chairs, administration, and graduate and professional students who contributed to the creation of this document. We hope that with this new iteration of the GPCI will empower the administration to continue to support the graduate and professional student population at Cornell. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.Respectfully submitted,Andy Leonel Barrientos-GómezAndy Leonel Barrientos-GómezPhD Candidate | Romance StudiesPresident | Graduate & Professional Student AssemblyPresident | Writer's Block: Short Fiction Writing GroupCornell University
