Dear President Garrett,
I would like to report the Student Assembly's first four resolutions of the year to you. I would like to reiterate some of the sentiments that have already been expressed to the Office of the President considering the dialogue that develops from presentation of resolutions by the Student Assembly. We hope that this is an opportunity to open up discussion about the most pressing and relevant issues for the student body. Without this consistent and reliable stream of communication, we as an assembly are unsure of what information is received by the Office of the President and what type of support and opinion exists. I would like to strongly urge your Office and cabinet to keep up with the practice of responding to all resolutions in some manner, despite the layers of administrative procedures that are sometimes associated with it.
Resolution 2 is "Approval of the 2015-2016 Meeting Schedule” The Student Assembly meets weekly on Thursdays in the Willard Straight Hall Memorial Room. The resolution contains the proposed meeting schedule for the year. We look forward to President Garrett’s presence at a few pre-determined meetings.
