    Hello President Kotlikoff,

It is my pleasure to convey to you the Student Assembly's second resolution of the 2024-25 academic year, SA Resolution 2: Executive Governance Reform. This resolution clarifies several areas of our governance structure so that the Student Assembly can more transparently and efficiently carry out the work of the student body.

In particular, this Resolution amends our bylaws to make the following changes:
Clarifies the language of “ex-officio” to differentiate between voting and non-voting seats.
Consolidates the functions of the Executive Board, Executive Cabinet, and Executive Committee, three bodies with principally the same membership, into one Executive Board.
Clarifies the status of the Office of Ethics and Office of Elections as independent bodies of the Student Assembly.
Authorizes Officers to appoint/nominate individuals already members of the Student Assembly to assist in the execution of their official duties as "deputies".

This resolution was passed unanimously by the Student Assembly at our meeting on August 29th.

Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions,

    Zora deRham
