    Dear President Garrett,

I would like to convey Resolution 33: Supporting the Establishment of a Veterans Resource Center to you. This resolution is sponsored by Matthew Indimine (Ex-Officio Representative from the University Assembly), Dustin Liu (Freshman Representative), Seamus Murphy (President of Cornell Undergraduate Veterans Association), and David Outlaw (Member of Cornell Undergraduate Veterans Association).

This resolution requests for the creation a Veterans Resource Center, which would serve as a team room for students who have served our country. The recommendation also includes a full-time staff member, who would serve as a liaison for veteran students to various university resources, including financial aid, health services, and career services. These students are facing barriers in interacting with different administrative departments.

At this time, the Student Assembly has only provided recommendations for the creation of such a center. In moving forward, students hopefully will be directly involved in creating ways to facilitate veterans' adjustments to campus life, post-service.

Thank you for the time and consideration.

    Kind regards,
    Juliana
