    Dear President Skorton,

I would like to convey Resolution 38: Toward Greater Legislative Accessibility to you. It was sponsored by Joseph Fridman, the SA's four freshmen representatives, Erinn Liu, Ben Bacharach, Maria Chak and Gabe Kaufman, and SACIDI and SADAC member Max Weisbrod.

This resolution aims to make our meetings more accessible by creating abstracts for our resolutions. The abstracts would be easy to see on our agendas that we send out to the student body. The implementation of this resolution will give students a clearer understanding of the resolutions that we are discussing each week. I hope that this will encourage more students to attend our meetings, especially when legislation they care about is on the table.

The Office of Assemblies already has the capabilities to post the abstracts on our website. These abstracts were never written consistently before since there was nothing in our Standing Rules requiring representatives to do so. Because this is a Standing Rule change, the abstracts will begin appearing in our agendas immediately after the sponsors work with EVP Batista to develop a standardized format.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

    Best,
    Sarah
