Dear President Garrett,
I would like to report the Student Assembly's first four resolutions of the year to you. I would like to reiterate some of the sentiments that have already been expressed to the Office of the President considering the dialogue that develops from presentation of resolutions by the Student Assembly. We hope that this is an opportunity to open up discussion about the most pressing and relevant issues for the student body. Without this consistent and reliable stream of communication, we as an assembly are unsure of what information is received by the Office of the President and what type of support and opinion exists. I would like to strongly urge your Office and cabinet to keep up with the practice of responding to all resolutions in some manner, despite the layers of administrative procedures that are sometimes associated with it.
Resolution 4 is "Approval of the 2015-2016 Operating Budget” The budget itself is attached for your reference in the Dashboard. We achieved a $2,479.24 surplus in 2014-2015 net of planned transfers. For the 2015-2016 fiscal year our projected budget is $ 26,050.00.
