  Dear Acting President Kotlikoff, I would like to convey Resolution 41: Increasing Sustainability of Lighting Within the Memorial Room to you. This resolution is sponsored by Student Assembly representative, Gabriel Kaufman, and University Assembly President, Matt Battaglia. This resolution requests that the Dean of Students Office and Facilities Management replace the current light bulbs in the Memorial Room of Willard Straight Hall with LED light bulbs. According to Article III, § 1 of the Student Assembly Charter we have "legislative authority over the policies of the Department of Campus Life and the Office of the Dean of Students". LED light bulbs are more efficient, less expensive, and yield long term benefits. The sponsors hope that the University will consider a more extensive review of light bulb usage across all facilities on the Ithaca campus. Thank you for the time and consideration.
