    Dear Cat,
     
    Thank you for conveying to me Resolution 44: Petition for Better Lighting on Cornell Owned Student Dormitories. As was previously conveyed in response to Resolution 45, the university has ongoing work to maintain our residential facilities and to ensure that our facilities meet the needs of our students. Please know that supplemental lighting is not always possible due to the age and limitations on existing electrical systems within the buildings, which require larger projects to upgrade. We will continue to address renovation needs as we are able.
