Dear Juliana, Thank you for sharing Resolution 46: Indigenous Peoples’ Day with me. The Faculty Senate’s Educational Policy Committee is tasked with reviewing the academic calendar, and is the most appropriate group to make this decision. I will ask this committee to review this resolution and recommend whether to include the addition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day in the academic calendar in subsequent years. Their work on the next calendar review will commence in December 2016. I appreciate the Student Assembly’s consideration for this matter. Sincerely, Mike Kotlikoff Provost
