Dear Sarah,
Thank you for sharing the recommendations of Resolution 48: Reaffirming the Importance of the Performing Arts at Cornell with me. In terms of academic disciplines, that decision lies with the College of Arts and Sciences, and I note you have shared a copy of the resolution directly with Dean Ritter for her consideration.
Regarding your request for a task force to be convened, I understand that the City/CU Collegetown Working Group already is discussing how the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts can strengthen the relationship between the Cornell community and the Ithaca community. By copy of this e-mail, I am asking Vice President Malina to consider how students might be involved in that aspect.
