  Dear President Skorton,
  
  I would like to convey Resolution 51: Cornell's Inter-College Global Affairs Major to you. This resolution was sponsored by Emma Johsnton (Arts and Sciences Representative) and Shivang Tayal (VP for Diversity and Inclusion).
  
  This resolution is meant to convey student support for the creation of the Global Affairs Major. It calls for the creation of an Implementation Committee as suggested by the Ad Hoc Committee on Global Affairs' report. The resolution, and the student representatives on the SA, believe that this major should be a cross-college collaboration. This will allow students from different personal and academic backgrounds to participate. The study of Global Affairs is increasingly important as the world continues to internationalize. This major also reflects the current goal of the University to give more students a meaningful international experience during their time at Cornell.
  
  I would appreciate it if you could forward this message on to President-elect Garrett, as the resolution calls for. I was able to send this email directly to all others listed in the resolution.
