  Dear President Rawlings,
  
  I would like to convey Resolution 53: Updating the Charter to you.
  
  This resolution is sponsored by Jordan Berger and Matthew Stefanko. This resolution updates the Charter to remove outdated information and inefficiencies.
  
  In the appendix you will see that the major changes include:
  The Executive Vice President will chair the Executive Committee
  The Vice President for Public Relations will prepare and curate the SA newsletter
  Regular meeting times and places will be announced up to 72 hours in advance
  The Charter specifies that executive sessions may also be held for internal elections and planning
  The Health and Wellness Committee is charged with sponsoring and coordinating Mental Health Awareness Week
  Elections Committee meetings will be open to the Cornell community unless executive session is required to discuss confidential information
  The Staffing Committee will be charged with developing attendance policies
  Delegations of the Student Assembly (SUNY and Ivy Council) will not be included in the charter
