    Dear President Skorton,

I would like to convey Resolution 55: Improving Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety at Cornell to you. This resolution was sponsored by Ethan Keller, President of Cornell Bike Collective, Lucy Stockton, a member of the Community Life Committee, and Emma Johnston, the chair of the Community Life Committee.

This resolution recommends that Cornell prioritize bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. It also recommends lowering the speed limit on campus to 20 miles per hour. These suggestions will not only increase the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers if enacted, but will also promote sustainability, by incentivizing Cornellians to walk or bike rather than drive to campus.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Best,
    Sarah
