    Dear President Pollack,

It is my pleasure to convey to you Student Assembly Resolution #8: Cayuga Land Acknowledgement. This resolution calls for the Student Assembly to amend the SA Standing Rules to include a land acknowledgement of the Cayuga Nation, on whose territory the University occupies. This land acknowledgement will be issued before all SA-affilicated events.

This resolution passed with a vote of 20-0-1.

I would like to thank Colin Benedict, former Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the Student Assembly and Co-Chair of Native American and Indigenous Students at Cornell, for bringing this resolution to the Student Assembly.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns! Thank you.

    Best,
    Cat
