    Dear Logan,
     
    Thank you for submitting UA Resolution #1: “Bylaw Changes to the Appointment of Standing Committee Chairs and Members” for my consideration. I appreciate the assembly’s review of its bylaws to provide greater clarity around its processes for appointing members to standing committees of the assembly. 
     
    I acknowledge receipt of this resolution and am supportive of these additions to the University Assembly’s bylaws, which will help remove ambiguity around selecting committee chairs and avoid delays in the appointment process in the event of a vacancy.
