    President Pollack,

It is my pleasure to convey to you UA R19: Calling on Cornell to Establish Itself as a Sanctuary Campus. This resolution is calling on Cornell to establish itself as a sanctuary campus for undocumented students, faculty, and staff. Some members of the UA expressed their belief that this would lead to a safer campus, free from fear that many undocumented individuals face. A similar resolution was passed by the Student Assembly as SA R36.

I would like to thank the sponsors of this resolution for their data collection, presentation, and for bringing this before the UA.

Additionally, we confirmed that NYS has at least one college which has sanctuary status (likely more). Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

    Best,
    Logan
