    President Pollack,

A charter change for your consideration, and passed by the UA, is outlined in UA R25: Precluding Constituent Leaders from Serving on the UA Executive Board  This charter change would ensure that no conflicts of interests present themselves across our 5 assemblies. We believe that constituent leaders have inherent conflicts of interest in serving on the executive board of more than one constituent group—and thus would have to sometimes step out of one role to fulfill the other. This charter change ensures that this does not happen and protects shared governance by having diverse executive boards each year. Additionally, we have attached an addendum for guidelines we believe Standing Committee Chairs should follow in the future to ensure transparency (which we hope the next UA will consider adopting into the UA bylaws).

Please contact myself of any of the co-sponsors with any questions or concerns.

    Best,
    Logan
