    President Pollack,

I would also like to convey to you UA R27: Urgent Need for the Hiring of a Military Service-Related CAPS Counselor  This resolution was also drafted through the aforementioned ad hoc committee. At our last UA meeting we heard from a student veteran who was told by a CAPS counselor that they were not able to assist with their unique experiences and could not refer them to another counselor. This is deeply troubling. I know Cornell has made great strides to hire more counselors and I hope this will be considered as a priority in future hiring processes. Our veteran community members have very unique experiences and should be able to receive adequate treatment on-campus rather than having to deal with the sometimes-lengthy and difficult processes through the VA.

A large thank you to the co-sponsors again. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

    Best,
    Logan
