Dear Interim President Rawlings,
It is my pleasure to convey to you University Assembly Resolution #3: "Endorsing ''The Ithaca Plan: A Public Health and Saftey Approach to Drugs and Drug Policy.'"
The resolution is sponsored by the chair of our Campus Welfare Committee, Ulysses Smith, and Employee Representative Linda Copman. It was approved by a 13-0-1 vote of the Assembly at our November 29, 2016 meeting. By passing this resolution, the University Assembly has officially endorsed the Ithaca Plan.
Specifically, we support efforts to achieve the legislation required to enact the Ithaca Plan and we request annual updates on progress made towards that end.
