President Pollack,It saddens me to send my final resolution as Chair of the University Assembly. I am conveying UA R30: Postponing the University Assembly Organizational Meeting Until All Constituent Groups Have Had the Opportunity to Fill their Seats As we had our final UA meeting on the same day as our scheduled organizational meeting, we were already running late for the organizational meeting (and individuals were unable to attend), but the primary purpose of this resolution is that the SA has 3 seats in need of filling (the contested presidential seat and 2 SA elected members). Additionally, the Faculty Senate is missing 1 representative. We postponed the organizational meeting until May 25, 2021 (still within the academic term and before our session ends on May 31, 2021).This passed as the body felt many groups were under-represented on Tuesday and we have allowed 2 weeks for constituent groups to fill their seats. In the event that those seats are not filled by the 25th, the organizational meeting will still occur. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your commitment to shared governance.Thank you to everyone who has served in shared governance roles this year! It has been an honor to serve alongside you, work with many of you, have healthy debates, and share a deep love for our community. Being on the University Assembly for three years was a highlight of my law school career.Best,Logan—Logan R. Kenney
