Dear Gabe,
Thank you for submitting UA Resolution 4 – the recommendation from the Textbook Price Working Group (TPWG). I appreciate the efforts of the TPWG to find ways to reduce the financial burden of graduate and undergraduate students at Cornell.
I support the TPWG’s recommendation that the Cornell Store adopt a cost-recovery financial model for the sale of academic materials. As noted, the current revenue-generating model will be maintained for non-academic materials sold at the store.
Thank you again for looking into this issue and for partnering with the Cornell Store to find an appropriate solution that best serves our academic community.
Yours sincerely,
Hunter Rawlings
