    Dear President Rawlings,

It is my pleasure to convey to you U.A. Resolution 4 REVISED "Textbook Price Working Group Recommendation."

This resolution was sponsored by the Chair of our Textbook Price Working Group (TPWG), Undergraduate Gabriel Kaufman. It was passed by the full Assembly at our meeting of April 26, 2016.

The TPWG was formed as an ad-hoc working group early this year after an original version of Resolution 4 was brought before the Assembly seeking to address the issue of rising textbook prices. Building on the Assembly's historical relationship with the Cornell Store and engaging other affected constituencies the TPWG presented the recommendation that the Cornell Store's overhead payment be reduced so that they may move to a cost-recovery revenue model in their sale of academic materials. This recommendation is supported by the Cornell Store's management and if implemented is believed will reduce the cost of academic materials to graduate and undergraduate students.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let me know should you have any questions or concerns.

    On behalf of the Assembly,
    ~Matthew
