President Garrett, Chairman Harrison, Provost Kotlikoff, and Community and Alumni Elected Trustees,
It is my duty to convey to you U.A. Resolution 5 "Promoting Community Feedback on the Proposed College of Business."
This resolution was sponsored by our Acting CJC Chair, Undergraduate Gabriel Kaufman. It was passed by the full Assembly at our meeting of January 26, 2016 with the Assembly choosing to send copies to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the University President, the Alumni-Elected Trustees, the Community-Elected Trustees, and the Provost.
Its purpose is to request that the Board of Trustees table the motion to create a College of Business until their March 24th meeting to allow adequate time for community feedback and engagement. Additionally, it asks that Shared Governance and all our constituencies be thoroughly engaged regarding the potential effects of creating the proposed College of Business.
Thank you for your time and consideration, I hope you have a great night. Please let me know should you have any questions or concerns.
On behalf of the Assembly,
~Matthew
