    Dear President Skorton,

It is with pleasure that I convey to you UA Resolution 7, "Calling for Implementation of an Open Course Evaluation Working Group."

This resolution was sponsored by Vice Chair Matthew Battaglia on behalf of J. Fridman and was passed at our meeting of March 24, 2015.

The Resolution calls upon the Provost to create and charge an Open Course Evaluation Working Group with members of each applicable academic college or academic unit for the purpose of assessing the strengths and weaknesses and Cornell's current course evaluation systems, reviewing peer institution course evaluation systems, and determining how the course evaluation system should be improved at Cornell. The Resolution requests that at least two members of the Student Assembly and two members from the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly be a part of the Working Group, and finally that the working group report its findings no later than January 31, 2016.

    On behalf of the Assembly,

    Respectfully Submitted,
    -Jim
