Dear President Rawlings,
It is my pleasure to convey to you U.A. Resolution 7 "Requesting Information on the Cost of Carbon Neutrality."
This resolution was sponsored by the Chair of our Codes & Judicial Committee, Undergraduate Gabriel Kaufman. It was passed by the full Assembly at our meeting of April 26, 2016.
The resolution acknowledges the administration's current support for achieving carbon neutrality by 2035 and requests that the administration determine and provide an analysis of the costs and relative benefits of achieving carbon neutrality within this time-frame to best inform and guide continued discussion. Furthermore, the resolution requests that such an analysis be furnished to the Assembly at the start of calendar year 2017 or when information has been reliably obtained. Finally, the resolution requests the Assembly be updated on the progress of such an analysis this coming fall.
