Dear President Pollack,
It is my pleasure to convey to you University Assembly Resolution #8 of the 2016-2017 Session.
This resolution serves as an expression of our gratitude for Hunter Rawlings and Michael Kotlikoff during the transition after the untimely passing of President Garrett last year. Given that both of them undertook the responsibilities of the President, we found it fitting to thank them for their leadership and service to the community in that capacity.
Importantly, the resolution also welcomes you to Cornell and congratulates you on your appointment and to and assumption of the Presidency. The University Assembly has traditionally held a close relationship with the Office of the President given the Assembly's cross-cutting mission and university-wide constituency; we look forward to maintaining that with you in the years to come.
