I have been a part of the student council and leadership since third grade. I was elected as co-head in eighth grade by the entire middle school. Every Monday morning, I led “Flag” where the whole school came together for thirty minutes. I am very comfortable with public speaking and have the ability to successfully manage a school-wide talent show. I was sophomore class vice president and junior class president. I raised over $15,000 for Junior Prom and raised over $65,000 after Senior Prom. As senior class president, I was in charge of 11 senior representatives and helped support 57 leadership students.
Throughout the term, I plan to make Cornell more sustainable and eco-friendly. I plan to implement a more robust recycling program, increase the amount of bike racks, as well as invest in better infrastructure for stormwater management. These simple changes can greatly impact our ecological footprint and help bring awareness to Cornell's sustainability.
