Hi Cornellians! My name is Aari Roy, and I’m a Public Policy major at Brooks. I’m running for the Student Assembly because I care about making sure every student feels supported, heard, and included in shaping our campus.
I plan to bring a fresh perspective to the Assembly and always put students first. I believe transparency between the student body and the governing body should be a top priority. To do that, I plan to create more opportunities for student input through regular tabling, campus events, and consistent open communication on social media so everyone feels informed and involved.
My goals are:
- Campus Life and Accessibility: Free TCAT for sophomores + upperclassmen and subsidized costs for laundry and parking passes
- Dining and Housing: Extended dining hall hours and meal options, a streamlined and fairer housing selection process, and replacing fountains with filtered water refill stations in dorms
- Safety and Community: Expanded Blue Light coverage & longer TCAT hours at night
- Mental Health and Wellbeing: More counseling staff, shorter wait times, mental health days, and stress-relieving activities (ex. therapy dogs!) during stressful periods.
Vote for me as a vote for yourself and for a Cornell that cares!
