Brooks School of Public Policy Representative
Ashwina Bangari
Healthcare Policy
Brooks School of Public Policy
Class of 2028
Hi everyone! My name is Ashwina Bangari, and I’m a sophomore in the Brooks School of Public Policy studying healthcare policy.
I’m running for Student Assembly representative because I care deeply about making sure Brooks students feel heard, supported, and connected. As a Brooks Ambassador, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with prospective and current students, helping them navigate Brooks and build a sense of community. That experience showed me how important clear communication and accessible resources are, and how much stronger our school is when everyone feels included.
Beyond campus, my work with the City of Framingham Mayor’s Office and the Massachusetts State Senate has taught me how to listen to diverse perspectives and turn them into meaningful action.
If elected, I’ll focus on improving communication between students and the Assembly, advocating for our needs, and expanding opportunities within Brooks. I’m excited to represent you and help turn our ideas into real change.

Brooks School of Public Policy
Class of 2028
My name is Yasmeen Masoud, I’m a sophomore in the Brooks School studying Public Policy, running to continue serving as your Assembly Representative. During the 2025–26 academic year, I’ve supported initiatives that strengthened student well-being, accessibility, and academic flexibility, and authored resolutions to ensure Cornell’s decisions reflect our shared standards. Guided by a policy perspective rooted in equity, accountability, and real-world impact, I believe our community should empower students to speak, organize, and advocate without fear. I will push for divestment and responsible recruitment practices so our institution is not complicit in harm, while protecting student voice and strengthening support for vulnerable communities. I will advance student-centered policies that ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency across Brooks. This includes standardizing grading and extension guidelines, expanding access to mental health resources and support networks, and boosting engagement through workshops, socials, and speaker events. I will also promote transparency by attending student–faculty forums and sharing accessible Student Assembly updates, ensuring every Brooks student is informed, supported, and empowered.
