Hello CAS! I'm running to represent you and to fight for a better Cornell that works for all of us. To that end, I pledge that I will, to the best of my ability, work toward:
-Universal Free TCAT: this can actually somewhat pay for itself due to how transportation grants are structured, and free transport will help to relieve the pressure on rents.
-A Student Voice: the Code of Conduct, which the student body is supposed to help create, has been unfairly applied. People have been prosecuted and suspended for social media posts, while more severe acts go unpunished. Through SA, we can take it back into our hands.
-Divestment: this should have happened already, but especially in the wake of recent events, Cornell ought to divest from all investments complicit in genocide and unjust wars.
-A True Sanctuary Campus: ICE should never be allowed to operate on campus, especially in a sanctuary city and state.
-Transparent and Fair Club Funding: opaque elitist clubs shouldn't receive funding for vacations while clubs for cultural affinity and community engagement lack resources.
   -Free/Subsidized Laundry & Printing
-More Optionality in Dining & Housing
   -Making Zeus Accept BRBs
   -and much more!

Hi! My name is Jocelyn Swavy, and I currently serve as your Arts & Sciences Representative and Deputy of DEI. I’m running for re-election to continue uplifting diverse voices, and building a more connected and opportunity-rich A&S community.

I will continue to advocate for:

   ā€“ Access to Opportunity:
Due to poor advertising, many students miss out on crucial opportunities. I will work with administrators and advisors to improve awareness of A&S academic programs, fellowships, and scholarships, so that more students can access the resources Cornell offers.

   ā€“ Fostering Connections:
As the largest school on campus, it can be difficult to build meaningful relationships within our majors. Through major-based socials and networking events, I will work to strengthen connections that extend beyond our four years at Cornell.

   ā€“ School Spirit & Culture:
Many students feel that Arts & Sciences lacks a strong sense of community. To address this, I will work to create engaging O-Week events, better merchandise, and implement a CAS Festival on the Arts Quad.
