Hi Class of 2029! I’m Liam Tian, and I’m thrilled to be running to be your Freshman Representative!
   
I’m passionate about accountability. Last year, I wrote a whistleblower report on the foundation that processed donations to my high school, exposing excessive 25% fees and their failure to disclose executive salaries as required by nonprofit laws. After being covered in local media, I successfully lobbied the school board to make the foundation lower its fees.
   
As Freshman Rep, rather than making unrealistic promises to make myself look good, I’ll fight for practical & realistic changes, especially:
   
   - Expand uses for Big Red Bucks: Accept BRBs for printer fees after the initial $15 runs out, for laundry machines, & for the Campus-to-Campus bus rides to NYC
   
   - Improve WiFi coverage with more routers: Install more WiFi routers in classrooms & by roads like Feeney Way to improve the reliability of Eduroam
   
   - Make more software & publications free: In addition to subscriptions like Microsoft Office & the NYT that are already provided, I’d like to make the Adobe suite, Figma, & subscriptions to Scientific American & Bloomberg News, free for students
