Call to Order
E. Crawley called the meeting to order at 12:00.

E. Crawley read the Land Acknowledgement of the Gayogo̱ ho꞉nǫ (Cayuga Nation).
Approval of the December 18, 2024 Meeting Minutes
- W. Treat motioned to approve the meeting minutes with an adjustment.
- The motion passed by unanimous consent
Call for late additions to the agenda
- K. Karnuta asked for an update on the Employee Assembly Award.
Business of the Day
- The Presidents Address to the Staff.
- E. Crawley informed the assembly that the president’s address was held. She also stated that there are additional questions the staff have for the president, and the EA is responsible for sending them to the president. The Employee Assembly continued discussing the President’s address to the staff.
- Employee Assembly’s Guest Speakers for Spring 2025
- E. Crawley posed a question to the assembly of who they would like to be guest speakers in Spring 2025, and the Employee Assembly came up with some ideas.
- A discussion on staff support when there is a tragedy.
- The Employee Assembly discussed the lack of resources for staff when there is a traged
Committee and Liaison Reports
Executive Committee
- I. Solís Cruz stated that the executive committee discussed the leadership changes happening on campus, wellness programs, parking, and benefits. The plan going forward is to continue to work with their liaison, C. Lovely.
Communications, Outreach and Recognition Committee
- R. Howard stated they will be having their first meeting of the spring semester soon.
Employee Education and Development Committee
- D. Surine stated that Cornell has approved the online part-time bachelor’s degree, and now it is awaiting approval from the New York State Department of Education. She also discussed some of the plans that the committee has for the future spring semester.
Employee Welfare Committee
- Nothing to Report
- Benefits and Policy Committee
- B. Dixon stated that the committee discussed daily pay, parking, and Cornell sanctioned ways to provide support.
Elections Committee
- I. Solís Cruz stated that the committee has plans to bring the election calendar and rules to the Employee Assembly at the next meeting, and that a vote and approval will be necessary.
Liaison Reports
- D. McDermitt reported on the University Assembly Campus Codes Committee.
Open Discussion
- The Employee Assembly discussed why the EA Award was not presented at the Presidents Address to the Staff. They also discussed a possible impending strike and its potential implications for campus staff. E. Crawley shared that there will be another co-worker coffee on March 31, 2025.

- W. Treat motioned to adjourn.
- The Motion passed by unanimous consent.
