      1. O. Karim called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m.

    1. Approval of the October 21st Meeting Minutes
      1. N. Brennan moved to approve the minutes. The motion passed by unanimous consent.

     

    1. Reports of Officers and Committee Updates
      1. Executive Committee
        1. N. Brennan reported on upcoming presentations and stated that the Student Advocacy Committee would handle the GPSA’s response to the draft Expressive Activity Policy after a moderated caucus later this meeting.
      2. Operations and Staffing
        1. Z. Lynch stated that he is still trying to fill remaining external committee vacancies. He highlighted the Big Red Barn Steering Committee, in particular.
      3. Appropriations
        1. None.
      4. Communications
        1. A. Garcia-Ortiz reported on updates to GPSA social media platforms.
      5. Finance
        1. None.
      6. Student Advocacy
        1. S. Hampi stated that the committee is meeting with the LGBTQ Resource Center and will also meet to discuss the draft Expressive Activity Policy. She encouraged people to attend both meetings.
      7. Diversity and International Students
    2. I. Kashyap reported on a recent meeting with the Office of Global Learning and progress on a document covering international students’ issues.

        1. I. Gatimi reported on a recent external committee meeting, also attended by

    O. Karim.

     

    1. Presentation
      1. B. Brady, Senior Director of Transportation and Delivery Services, gave a presentation on a recent transportation survey, transit updates, and transportation priorities and fielded questions from members.

     

    1. Moderated Caucus
      1. The GPSA discussed the draft Expressive Activity Policy, released on October 30th. Members voiced their concerns with the policy and its language and discussed potential improvements.
      2. S. Hampi reiterated that she will continue to collect feedback before drafting the GPSA’s response and in advance of upcoming meetings with Dean Colleen Barry and President Kotlikoff.
      3. Amid discussion, N. Brennan moved to extend the meeting by five minutes. The motion passed by unanimous consent.
      4. Z. Lynch moved to extend the meeting by five minutes. The motion passed by unanimous consent.

     

    1. New Business
      1. None.

     

    1. Open Forum
      1. N. Brennan brought attention to an upcoming day of dialogue event on political polarization. Y. Wu, the event’s organizer, shared more information on the event and asked for a small amount of financial support from the GPSA.
