Associated Resolutions

Resolution Abstract Status
SA R17 (2025-2026): Reinstating the A&S Peer Mentoring Program The College of Arts and Sciences Peer Mentoring Program has recently been paused in order to improve and revamp the program. This program was vital for easing the transition between high school and college and ensuring that first-year students feel supported by their peers. This resolution seeks to reinstate the program as part of the A&S Ambassadors mission. Submitted to the President
SA R19 (2025-2026): University-Wide Disassociation “We Demand a Fossil-Free Degree”. Cornell’s association with the fossil fuel industry is inconsistent with its role as a “global leader in sustainability”. Given the fossil fuel industry’s injurious impacts on the planet, its influence over research, and Cornell governing organizations’ previous demands for divestment from fossil fuels, this resolution calls for Cornell University to dissociate from fossil fuels and all aspects of the fossil fuel industry. Submitted to the President
SA R20 (2025-2026): Protecting Cornell's Values from the Trump Administration This resolution condemns Cornell’s settlement with the Trump Administration as a compromise of Cornell’s values. Submitted to the President
SA R21 (2025-2026): Approving the Recommendation for the 2026-2028 Student Activity Fee This resolution approves the recommendation for the 2026-2028 Student Activity Fee. The overall recommendation is a compilation of approved Finance Committee recommendations. Submitted to the President
