UA R16 (2020-2021): Calling for a Veterans Support Center This resolution aims to increase on-campus support for veteran students, faculty, and staff through the creation of a support center for members of the Cornell University community who have served, plan on serving, or are affiliated with the Armed Forces of the United States of America. Rejected by the President
UA R24 (2020-2021): Making the UA Charter Gender-neutral This resolution seeks to change the language in the University Assembly Charter to be gender-neutral. Accepted by the President
UA R25 (2020-2021): Precluding Constituent Leaders from Serving on the UA Executive Board This resolution precludes constituent leaders from servicing on the University Assembly Executive Board and strengthens the reporting requirements of University Assembly standing committees. Accepted by the President
UA R27 (2020-2021): Urgent Need for the Hiring of a Military Service-Related CAPS Counselor Asserting an urgent need for the hiring of a military service-related CAPS counselor as veterans and military-affiliated individuals experience unique mental health issues that are often different from that of civilian individuals. Deferred by the President
UA R28 (2020-2021): Transparency and Accountability into the University’s Process for Certifying Enrollment with the Department of Veteran Affairs This resolution calls for the University to define and amend its processes and procedure for the certification of enrollment for student-veterans with the Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.) to ensure transparency and accountability in the process. Additionally, we recommend the Cornell University affirm support for the 8 Keys to Veterans’ Success and become a signatory to the Principles of Excellence Program. Deferred by the President
