I’m Myshay Causey, running for Freshman Representative from the Brooks School of public policy, with a specific interest in Education Policy! In the past I’ve represented thousands of students on the board of Compton Unified School District. Prior to that I successfully advocated for Home-Ec classes in the ICEF school district.

My platform focuses on bettering the way Cornell supports our transition process!

    - Not just improving awareness of mental health resources, but pushing students to actually sign up while targeting the time constraints to participation.

    - Creating more freshman social events. After O-Week it’s easy to feel like everyone has their own clique. We need to push for more opportunities for freshmen to meet new people and find friends with which they truly belong!

    - Finding ways to limit Cornell Fees (like our high washing costs with mediocre results).

    - Partnering with upperclassmen to help freshmen handle the new college workload, independence, and sleep deprivation.

Most of all, as Freshman Representative I promise to be consistently engaged with my community and its concerns! Voting Myshay for Freshmen Rep means voting for someone with both the experience and audacity to stand up for you!
